Forgotten UFO sighting...

When I first started working my current job as a pump monkey, I was nothing but a mere gas pumper. Hanging outside, waiting for cars, pumping gas, etc...

Sometimes you see interesting things as a fuel attendant though. Car accidents, customers fighting in the parking lot of ridiculous things (more often then not their sour relationships), or even the occasional person accidentally locking their keys in the car with their infants only to have to call the fire department to come and unlock said car. Oh, and I can't forgot that I work right by the local airport, literally across the street, and get a free airshow each year.

One of the most interesting things I saw was one afternoon in October of 2005. I was standing out there pumping gas as was routine at the time, and happened to glance up at the sky before a car pulled in, and saw a silvery object kind of hanging in one spot. Well it might have been moving extremely slow, but I really couldn't tell since a car in need of gas pulled up and distracted me.

Once I got the gas pumping I turned back to look at the object, but it was gone. Just gone. Not over the station, not farther in the distance, just gone. Now ordinarily being by the airport I would have thought that it was a plane or helicopter, but I see them everyday and know what one would look like at a distance. It was clearly not either and there wasn't even any aircraft noise at the time. There is a small chance that it could have been some sort of balloon, but I have no doubt that it would have been visible for longer then it took me to get the gas pumping into a car.

I'll probably never know for sure what it was and it was not the most interesting UFO I've ever seen (click here for that one), but I figured I'd share with you all. Who knows, maybe someone from Hillsboro will stumble upon my blog that saw the same thing that afternoon in October spreading more light on the mystery.

Hence the name: UFOs. Normally, I would have thought it was your imagination. Yet, There is no doubt in my mind you actually saw something. I believe you. Now, enough with UFOs for now. Why don't you blog about something paleo related? Power to Paleontology!! lol!
